My Hawking today was unplanned but it paid off. I saw a Red-tailed Hawk atop the Con Edison building, facing north the entire hour I was in Washington Square Park.
We had a dusting of snow recently. I was surprised to see some remnants still on the ground in some places:
I looked down 4th Street see if one of the Tompkins Square Park Hawks was on one of its favorite building perches. I had seen one up there several minutes before I reached Washington Square Park but that bird had flown:
It's pretty nice to be able to watch one set of Hawks from another Hawk's territory.
